Table Top Fusion

On March 8th, 2006 the New York Times had an article about a Purdue University professor who claimed to have acheived nuclear fusion in a table top contraption. The article was chiefly about the fact that the university was investigating the scientist's claims.

The experiment involved sound and bubbles of gas in a liquid. This sounds oddly similar to the Keanu Reeves 1996 movie "Chain Reaction" [http://imdb.com/title/tt0115857] There have been many claims of cold fusion over the years and none have been repeatable. What if this table top fusion is repeatable/true?...This news could be the beginning of FREE ENERGY. Imagine how that would change our world.
